Frequently asked questions
What is a sinking fund?
It is money set aside gradually for an expected future expense. The plan helps spread a known cost across the deposits before its due date.
How is the contribution amount calculated?
The remaining target is divided by the number of contribution dates from your next deposit date through the due date. Each amount is rounded up to the next cent.
Does this plan earn interest?
No. The estimate excludes interest, fees, and missed or changed deposits.
What if the deadline is too close?
The plan flags a remaining goal with no contribution date before its due date. You can revise the timing or target to explore a different scenario.
