Calculation Methodology

Moneyera calculators use published mathematical relationships with simplified assumptions so visitors can compare scenarios.

Owner review required. This document is a working draft and is not approved for publication. Operator details, effective date, and legal review must be completed before indexing or treating it as the final policy.

Loan and mortgage payments

Fixed-rate installment payments use the standard annuity formula. A zero-rate loan divides principal evenly across payments. Amortization applies periodic interest to the outstanding balance and caps the final payment at the remaining amount due.

Savings and compound interest

Savings projections assume a fixed periodic rate and contributions at the timing stated by the selected tool. Actual account returns, fees, taxes, and compounding rules can differ.

Rounding and exclusions

Displayed currency is rounded for presentation; amortization schedules apply cent-level payment rounding where implemented. Taxes, insurance, association fees, and similar costs are included only when a tool explicitly asks the visitor to supply an estimate.

Validation

Inputs are bounded to prevent negative, non-finite, or unsupported values in the relevant tools. Unit tests cover key formulas and edge cases, but estimates should still be checked against official documents.

A verified public contact email has not been configured. Do not send sensitive personal or financial details through URLs or public messages.

No legal effective date has been supplied. This page stays out of the sitemap until approved.
